Following the cremation of veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, her sister, Veronica Jones, made a remarkable discovery in her cremated remains – “green bones.”
Veronica shared with ABS-CBN that the presence of “green bones” in Jaclyn’s cremated remains is considered exceptionally rare.
“May sinasabi silang ‘green bones’. Hindi lahat ng tao na na-cremate mayroon noon, so very rare na nakita si Jane na mayroon,” Veronica shared.
She described Jaclyn as a loving and compassionate individual, emphasizing her down-to-earth nature and her profound affection for the crew and staff she worked with.
She added, “Si Jane, mapagmahal — matindi magmahal — down-to-earth, maawain, napakabait na tao, walang masamang tinapay. ‘Yung mga crew at staff, mas mahal niya ‘yan, ayaw niya ‘yung mga pasosyal.”
“Green bones” are a phenomenon in which the cremated remains of an individual exhibit a greenish hue. According to Chinese beliefs, the appearance of “green bones” after cremation symbolizes the deceased’s virtuous character during their lifetime. It is often interpreted as a final gift from the departed to their family.
Jaclyn Jose passed away on March 2 at the age of 60 due to a heart attack. The revelation of “green bones” in her cremated remains adds an intriguing element to her legacy, underscoring her reputation for kindness and goodness throughout her life.
