Noontime variety show ‘It’s Showtime’ from ABS-CBN is slated to make its debut on GMA Network beginning April 6.
This transformative move was officially announced by both networks on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone in the industry.
The groundbreaking partnership was cemented during a contract signing ceremony held at the GMA studios, attended by key hosts of ‘It’s Showtime’ alongside prominent executives from both ABS-CBN and GMA Network.
Representatives from GMA Network included Chairman Atty. Felipe Gozon, President and CEO Gilberto Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong, and Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and GMA Films President and CEO Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN was represented by Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer Cory Vidanes, and Group Chief Financial Officer Rick Tan.
Expressing immense enthusiasm, GMA Network welcomed ‘It’s Showtime’ into its diverse lineup of program offerings, aiming to enrich the viewing experience for Kapuso audiences with its unique brand of entertainment.
In reciprocation, ABS-CBN and the creators of ‘It’s Showtime’ conveyed their gratitude to GMA Network for providing an additional platform to extend joy and amusement to an expanded audience base.
“We thank our loyal viewers for their unwavering support for almost 15 years and look forward to connecting with new audiences as ‘It’s Showtime’ embarks on a new journey in creating more unforgettable FUNanghalian moments together on GMA, GTV, GMA Pinoy TV, and all other platforms it is currently seen,” expressed ABS-CBN and GMA Network in a joint statement.
Prior to this collaboration, ‘It’s Showtime’ had been airing on GMA Network-owned GTV (Good Television) since July 2023.
Celebrating its 14th year, ‘It’s Showtime’ boasts a stellar cast of hosts, including Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, and Cianne Dominguez.
The show features a diverse array of segments, including the popular singing competition ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids,’ ‘Karaokids,’ and the engaging dating show ‘Expecially For You,’ promising to bring its trademark blend of entertainment to its new home on GMA Network.
