Heart Evangelista, in a candid revelation during a two-part interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ admitted that her greatest mistake is placing excessive trust in others.
Throughout the conversation, she frequently alluded to instances of being surrounded by the wrong people, suggesting her experiences were lessons from her guardian angel to assert herself.
“To trust others too much,” she said. “You cannot trust the most angel-link person.”
During the interview, Evangelista didn’t hesitate to pinpoint her biggest mistake when directly asked, emphasizing her tendency to trust others too much. She expanded on this theme when discussing the valuable lessons she’s learned, cautioning against placing blind faith in seemingly trustworthy individuals.
“Do not drink the first glass of water someone gives you just because you trust them,” Heart continued. “You cannot reveal your dreams and aspirations. You cannot reveal your plans and you cannot give them the map to your success. Because people will take advantage of your innocence and your sincerity and your heart.”
Reflecting on her personal experiences, Evangelista advised against sharing dreams, aspirations, and plans with others, warning of the potential exploitation of one’s sincerity and trust. She stressed the importance of reserving trust for family members and only disclosing the blueprint of one’s life to those truly deserving.
Despite hints at experiencing betrayal, Evangelista maintained an optimistic outlook, suggesting that those who misuse trust may ultimately lose their way, while she remains unscathed.
