Unkabogabole star Vice Ganda expressed readiness to tackle fresh challenges as ‘It’s Showtime’ forges a partnership with GMA Network.
During an interview with ABS-CBN News, Vice Ganda conveyed optimism amidst the transition, emphasizing the importance of a proactive approach towards achieving success.
“Kami naman, we expect new challenges to face [pero] let’s all expect to succeed and to thrive. ‘Yun ang gusto kong laging i-expect e. Hindi ‘yung mahihirapan o mangangarag,” they stated, stressing the need to overcome obstacles with a positive outlook.
Acknowledging the pressure mentioned by Atty. Felipe Gozon regarding achieving higher ratings, Vice Ganda highlighted the collaborative efforts between the two networks. They expressed confidence in reaching set objectives, citing the expansive reach of GMA Network as a significant asset.
Looking towards the future direction of ‘It’s Showtime’ under its new era, Vice Ganda emphasized the necessity for innovative ideas surpassing past milestones. They underlined the importance of brainstorming to create memorable moments while remaining grounded and avoiding complacency.
Reflecting on the emotional contract signing ceremony, Vice Ganda acknowledged the challenges they’ve encountered, considering the partnership with GMA as a reward for their resilience. “I just feel that we are all so special today. ABS-CBN is so special to be given this opportunity by GMA,” they remarked.
Now in its 14th year, ‘It’s Showtime’ boasts a diverse lineup of hosts, including Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, and Cianne Dominguez. The show previously aired on GMA-owned GTV (Good Television) since July 2023 before officially transitioning to GMA Network.
