GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc.(GMAKF), the socio-civic arm of GMA Network, recently received a check donation from Cut Unlimited, Inc. The donation was part of the proceeds from last year’s Noel Bazaar.
The Noel Bazaar is one of the biggest, longest-running Christmas shopping events in the country. A mainstay of this much-anticipated event is the Celebrity Ukay-Ukay, where shoppers can purchase the pre-loved items of their favorite Kapuso stars. A portion of the proceeds goes to the GMAKF.
Present during the turnover were (left to right): Cut Unlimited Project Director Aprille Robles; GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and COO Rikki O. Escudero-Catibog;Cut Unlimited, Inc. President Mayose Gozon-Bautista;GMA Kapuso Foundation Ambassador and Special Adviser Mel Tiangco; and Cut Unlimited, Inc. Managing Director Justine Bautista.
“GMA Kapuso Foundation is grateful to Cut Unlimited, the organizer of Noel Bazaar, for its generous donation,” said Rikki O. Escudero-Catibog. “May we have more charitable collaborations in the years to come.”
“I have always believed that education is the most effective approach for us to actually help families live comfortable lives in the long term. All of Noel Bazaar’s primary advocacy resonates with me, as does my company’s mission to support literacy and scholarship programs for students around the country,” said Mayose Gozon-Bautista.
GMAKF provides quick-response relief operations to Filipinos during crises and has ongoing projects designed to promote and foster learning, such as Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan, Kapuso School Development Project, and its sub-project, Kulayan ang Kinabukasan.
