The film marks Phoebe Walker’s leading project together with Maxine Medina, Ervic Vijandre, Jeric Raval, Jeffrey Santos, and Christian Vasquez. The movie follows the collective efforts of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in addressing the alarming situation of illegal drugs in the country.
According to the production team, the movie is based on a true story and inspired by narratives on how the agency implemented its strategies. It also features former PDEA Director Gen. Wilkins Villanueva.
“Buy Bust Queen” highlights PDEA operations, making it less narrative-driven and more action-oriented, showcasing the agency’s efforts in combating crime and drug syndicates.
While the action aspect of the movie adds to its aesthetics, “Buy Bust Queen” delves deeper into the day-to-day dangerous lives of the agents, ensuring the safety of the country from the impact of illegal drugs that have destroyed countless lives.
Additionally, “Buy Bust Queen” features Ritz Azul, Ellaine Ochoa, Cheng Alessa, Ameera Johara, Ayeesha Cevantes, Alex Medina, Dindo Arroyo, Ping Medina, and Ricardo Cepeda.
