Bea Binene may have switched networks, but according to her March 22nd statement at the press conference for Viva Films’ ‘Sunny,’ her loyalty to her GMA Network friends remains strong.
Binene starred alongside Martin and Monasterio in the 2010 Kapuso show ‘Tween Hearts.’ In 2022, the actress signed with Viva Artists Agency.
“On top of my mind would be si Kristoffer Martin,” she revealed, highlighting her longtime friend. “He’s been my best friend since ‘Tween Hearts.’”
The actress started building these bonds at a young age. She was only 13 when they starred together in the 2010 Kapuso show. Now, at 26, Binene emphasizes that despite the years and her move to Viva Artists Agency in 2022, the friendships haven’t faded.
“Sina Kristoffer sina Derrick [Monasterio], until now, we still keep in touch,” she said.
Although they rarely see each other, Binene and her friends prove the phrase “If there’s a will, there’s a way,” as they maintain their friendship across busy schedules.
“Now, we really have to make time to see each other. But one thing that I’m really grateful is that my friendship with them, hindi siya natigil dahil kumbaga umalis ako or lumipat ako.”
She added, “Until now, we may not see each other that much but we still communicate that much pa rin. Siguro ‘yung pagkikita in person ang nawala pero ‘yung communication, andoon pa rin.”
Binene is part of the Philippine adaptation of the 2011 hit Korean movie Sunny. The film is directed by Jalz Zarate and written by Mel Mendoza-Del Rosario.
Catch the film on its premiere this coming April 10, only in cinemas.
