Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza promised on March 12 that she and David Licauco would bring kilig to Filipinos in Canada, even if unintentional.
During the ‘Sparkle Goes to Canada’ press conference at GMA Network Studio 7, the attending media noticed Licauco and Forteza’s overwhelming chemistry after performing. Asked if they would also bring it to Canada, the actress admitted it was like second nature to them.
“Siguro, pagdating sa kilig, sa totoo lang po, hindi talaga namin sinasadya,” she said.
Forteza revealed there was a secret behind their gleaming eyes, and it was not because they want to spread kilig. It was actually a waiting game for them.
“Kumbaga kung parang nagtitinginan man kami sa mga duet namin, nag-iintayan po kami kung sino ang kakanta. Hindi po kami nagpapakilig, nagta-tantyahan po kami, haha!” she joked.
Besides spreading the love, the actress also teased there will be non-couple performances. The tour will be a diverse event, she said.
“So dito po sa Canada, bukod po siguro sa kilig na maipaparamdam namin, hopefully sa ating Global Pinoy sa Canada, marami din po kaming prod na hindi lang as a couple. Mayroong girl power, mayroong all boys, mayroong as a group. Kaya hindi lang siya maka-categorize as a parang show ng love teams, group siya talaga.”
The ‘Sparkle Goes to Canada’ tour is Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s first-ever world tour. It is directed by Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan.
Joining Forteza and Licauco in this tour are Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, Julie Anne San Jose, and Rayver Cruz. They will start the event at the Southview Alliance Church in Calgary on April 5, before ending it with a show on April 7 at Toronto Pavilion.
