Andi Eigenmann, the eldest daughter of the late Jaclyn Jose, bravely stepped forward to share the truth behind her mother’s sudden demise.
Surrounded by loved ones and supported by her brother, Gabby Eigenmann, Andi provided clarity regarding Jaclyn’s unexpected passing.
With the official statement from Jaclyn’s talent management, PPL Entertainment, offering limited information and emphasizing the family’s need for privacy during this challenging time, Andi took it upon herself to shed light on the matter.
Speaking at 2:23 PM, Andi tearfully revealed that Jaclyn, at the age of 60, succumbed to myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, on the morning of March 2, 2024.
Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and condolences, Andi pleaded for respect and understanding as they mourned the loss of their beloved matriarch. She urged the public to refrain from speculating on the circumstances surrounding Jaclyn’s death, emphasizing the family’s desire for privacy during this grieving period.
“Just like to say that her undeniable legacy will definitely forever live on through her work, through her children, through her grandchildren, and the many lives she’s touched. She herself, her life itself was her greatest obra maestra thank you,” Andi requested.
Acknowledging Jaclyn’s enduring legacy as an actress and a mother, Andi tearfully praised her mother’s life as her greatest masterpiece. The press conference ended with a heartfelt embrace between Andi and Gabby, as they thanked attendees for their support and understanding.

As Jaclyn’s remains lie in repose at Arlington Memorial Chapels in Araneta, Quezon City, preparations are underway for her cremation. Meanwhile, there is no news yet on whether Jaclyn’s daughter Gwen Garimond Ilagan Guck, who is currently studying in the United States, will return to the Philippines.
