Rumors have been circulating recently suggesting that Kapuso actor Alden Richards will be stepping into the role of host for the noontime show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’
However, during the latest episode of ‘Cristy Ferminute’ last Wednesday, February 28, showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin addressed and debunked these rumors.
Fermin emphatically refuted the claims, stating, “Alam mo, napaka-fake nitong news na ‘to. Unang-una, hinding-hindi ito gagawin ni Alden dahil sa kaniyang pangako.”
She elaborated on the situation, indicating that while there might be pressure from GMA Network’s top executives for Alden to participate in ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ as a contracted artist of the network, Alden himself had previously stated that he would not accept such an offer.
“Kaya lamang, ang isa lang ng kwestiyon dito: Paano kapag sinabihan ng mga top executive ng GMA 7 si Alden bilang isang kontratadong artista ng network na kailangan na niyang sumalang dito sa [Tahanang Pinakamasaya], doon lamang ‘yon lulusot,” she added.
During the height of the issue regarding the departure of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon from TAPE, Inc., Alden had already made it clear that regardless of the circumstances, he would remain loyal to his commitments.
Despite Fermin’s dismissal of the rumors, she expressed concern for Alden, suggesting that if he were to be persuaded by GMA Network executives to join the noontime show, he would likely face criticism and backlash.
This concern stems from ongoing issues between TAPE, Inc., the producer of ‘Eat Bulaga,’ and its hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon.
‘Eat Bulaga’ has played a significant role in Alden’s career, and he has previously pledged his loyalty to the show amidst conflicts between its hosts and the production company.
As of now, Alden Richards has not made any official statements regarding the rumors about hosting ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’
