AC Bonifacio revealed her vibrant ‘red hair phase’ during Star Magic’s ‘Spotlight’ press conference at Limbaga 77 in Quezon City on March 13, sharing that dyeing her hair red was a significant part of her healing process.
In 2023, Bonifacio underwent her first heartbreak following her split with BGYO member Nate Porcalla. Embracing her red hair is not only a step in her healing journey but also a declaration of her transition into adulthood.
“I think every girl goes through their red hair phase at some point in their lives. It’s a part of my healing, growing, being better at getting into my 20s, becoming an adult, I think that’s what it really is,” the dancer-turned-young-actress explained.
Beyond symbolizing healing and growth, Bonifacio finds empowerment in her red hair.
During her healing process, she learned the importance of self-love and solitude.
“Putting yourself first and learning to love yourself before everyone else, literally, is essential. Not just in relationships but even with friends. You have to learn to be there for yourself. I’ve learned to cherish my alone time.
“I take breaks from work and socializing, stepping back to take a breather and reset. It allows me to restart and refocus on my priorities.”
Bonifacio has come a long way since winning as the grand champion in ‘Dance Kids.’ Now, she’s ventured into acting and musical theater, making her debut as Marcy Park in The Sandbox Collective’s ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.’
