Amidst the aftermath of last year’s controversial text scandal involving him, Herlene Budol, and Bianca Manalo, Rob Gomez revealed that he is prioritizing his work and personal growth, focusing on healing from the ordeal.
In an interview with MJ Marfori on TikTok during a recent Chinese New Year event, Gomez candidly discussed his current state, emphasizing his commitment to self-discovery and recovery without seeking pity or sympathy.
“I think it’s the time to work. It’s the time to find myself. Maybe heal. I don’t wanna sound like a victim. Because I don’t wanna pry on it. I don’t want anyone na maawa sakin. I do not wish to share my problems with anyone,” he expressed.
Addressing the intrusion of his personal relationships into the public sphere during the controversy, Gomez emphasized his intention to keep such matters private moving forward, particularly concerning his baby mama and other women involved.
“I really don’t talk about my personal relationships. It’s just that last time I kinda had to plead my love. But this time I’ll try to keep it private again,” he asserted.
While acknowledging the ongoing challenges resulting from the scandal, Gomez remained steadfast in his determination to bounce back. He acknowledged the difficulty of each day but remained optimistic, focusing on self-improvement and physical fitness.
“Every day is complicated,” he acknowledged. “[But] the comeback is always greater than the setback. I’m just grinding. I’m working out now. Trying to get the best shape of my life.”
Furthermore, Gomez highlighted the importance of self-respect in his journey towards healing and self-love, recognizing its significance in maintaining personal boundaries and fostering healthy relationships.
“Self-respect ko po kailangan ko po siyang hanapin talaga kasi tayo ay mapagmahal. Tatalon tayo kapag kailangan, kapag sinabihan tumalon, ‘yun ‘yung hahanapin natin,” he explained.
Gomez’s remarks come following the resurgence of attention to his involvement in the text scandal that unfolded last December, shedding light on his current efforts to overcome the aftermath and focus on personal growth.
