On January 31, Rekta sa Kalye Chief Operating Officer Mong Feliciano issued an apology over the postponed music festival in November 2023.
At the media event for the Blvck Summer Festival, which LionhearTV covered, Feliciano first explained what happened with their postponed music festival in November, citing a misunderstanding between them and their executive producer.
“So technically ito ‘yun no, as many of the festivals na may tendency na ma-reschedule, unfortunately, we are one of those. And siyempre, lahat ng festivals, lahat ng movement, ‘yun ‘yung pinaka bangungot na pwedeng mangyari. Hindi kami naiiba, pwedeng mangyari sa amin ‘yun. Napansin ko na siyempre, negative talaga ‘yun sa lahat and also sa mga sumusuporta sa Rekta sa Kalye.
“And right now, what we did is– kaya siya na-delay is– hindi na ako magne-name drop, kasi it’s just a problem with the executive producer hindi kami aligned. So, we had to make sure, alam mo ‘yun, kapag natuloy ‘yun mas magkakaproblema.”
He then apologized to the patrons who purchased a ticket for the postponed music festival.
“And right now, like anybody else na dumaan sa matitinding pagsubok, kami, ito ‘yung turn namin to have that. So, mas natuto kami na mas makipag-usap ng maayos sa mga katrabaho namin.
“And again, doon sa mga bumili ng tickets, I’m going to address it right now, na we apologize, I sincerely apologize as COO ng Rekta sa Kalye, na lahat kami ang intention namin is matuloy siya. It’s not always about the money. We can get the money somewhere else, ito kasi, vision ‘to eh. Ang tagal na naming pangarap ‘to.”
He thanked those who helped Rekta sa Kalye resolve what happened, especially Blvck Entertainment.
“And right now, with everybody helping us, thank you so much O-Side for being with us today. Also, Smugglaz, sobrang laking ano noon, tulong for us, para maano namin ‘yung message namin.
“And also, for Blvck, siyempre ‘yan ‘yung pinakamabigat– we’ve been talking since December. We talked like 23rd of December, dapat nagho-holidays na kami, nasa negotiations pa tayo. Ganon kasi kami ka-dedicated that time na dapat nagsasaya na sila with their families, as well as us. Kailangan namin ma-solve to para sa mga tao. Kasi, the people deserve this.”
