Actress Nadine Lustre has achieved a significant milestone in her career by landing a role in the suspense-action thriller series ‘Roadkillers.’
Lustre shared insights into her character in the four-part series, emphasizing the uniqueness and challenge it brought to her acting repertoire.
“Gustong-gusto ko mag-action, and si direk rin as soon as na-pitch sa amin ‘yung project, siyempre I would say yes kasi matagal ko nang gusto mag-action,” Lustre expressed during a mediacon.
Acknowledging the departure from her usual projects, Lustre disclosed that she underwent intensive training for action sequences and stunts to prepare for her character.
“With regards to preparations, nag-training rin po ako sa firing, assembling ng guns. Tapos ‘yung mga stunts rin namin, we really had to rehearse that kasi lalo na ‘yung environment namin nakita niyo naman sa mga eksena namin, mabuhangin, dirt, mabato, so ano talaga e, very tricky talaga. Pero sobrang na-enjoy ko po talaga siya, especially ‘yung training,” Lustre detailed.

This project marks a deliberate shift for Lustre, who is venturing into diverse genres and seeking roles that challenge her skills as an actress.
“I’m at point na gusto ko nang mag-explore sa different genres and I wanna do more challenging roles and I always say this, kasi it’s really interesting doing a role of a psychopath, a killer, because I want to figure out how these mind works. Ako po kasi mahilig ako sa mga ganung details na pinag-aaralan ang mga tao,” Lustre shared.
‘Roadkillers,’ directed by Rae Red, is set to premiere globally on March 1, offering audiences a fresh perspective on Lustre’s talent and versatility as an actress.
