On February 9, actress Maui Taylor confirmed that she had already said goodbye to the sexy genre.
At the media conference for the mystery thriller Slay Zone, which LionhearTV covered, Taylor referenced her last sexy role in the Vivamax film Haliparot and how she transitioned into the mystery thriller.
She then highlighted her plans of saying goodbye to future sexy roles, citing that she wanted to protect her children.
Taylor first ventured into the sexy genre in 2002 with the films Gamitan and Hibla. From then on, she became a well-known sexy actress but has gradually moved back into mainstream productions.
As for their mystery-thriller film, Slay Zone stars Pokwang and Glaiza de Castro with Maui Taylor, Rico Barrera, Abed Green, Queenay Mercado, Richard Armstrong, Lou Veloso, Hero Bautista, Paolo Rivero, Paul Morit, Tabs Sumulong, Yuan Gabriel, Panteen Palanca, and a special participation from Kim Atienza.
Under the direction of Louie Ignacio, Slay Zone opens in cinemas this February 14.
