On January 25, new Viva artist Mara Jalipa recounted her showbiz journey from FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Love Before Sunrise, and on Vivamax.

At the media conference for Katas, which LionhearTV covered, Jalipa remarked that she had always wanted to become an actress, citing her previous projects as a talent.

And nag-start ako as talent sa Batang Quiapo. Kinuha ko po siya as Mamasang. Ang sumunod po doon ay ‘yung sa Love Before Sunrise as background na nakabungguan si Bea Alonzo. Then pangatlo po, nakuha po ako sa TV5 as main cast sa Gen Numero, action-serye.”

She then narrated how she became a talent for the project Virgin Sisters.

Her willingness and grit got her noticed, which led her to sign with Viva Artist Agency.

She then talked about her preparations for her role in Katas.

Sabihin nila, ganito ‘yan anak. Siya po ‘yung aming guide.”

As for their film, Katas stars Yda Manzano, Sahara Bernales, Chester Grecia, Aria Bench, Ardy Raymundo, Cariz Manzano, and Mara Jalipa.

Under the direction of Rodante Pajemna Jr., Katas starts streaming on February 17 through the Vivamax app.
