In a recent episode of ‘EXpecially For You’ on the popular TV show ‘It’s Showtime,’ host Kim Chiu opened up about the possibility of reconciling with past partners who had ended their relationships.
The Kapamilya star’s candid remarks shed light on the complexities of love and the challenges of moving forward after a breakup.
Chiu shared her perspective on fighting for love when confronted with the question during the show. “When it comes to love? You really fight for it,” she emphasized, underscoring the importance of perseverance in romantic relationships.
Reflecting on the intricacies of relationships, Chiu acknowledged the diversity of reasons and circumstances that shape each romantic connection. “Ako kasi ‘yung taong kapag iniwan na ako, ba’t mo ako iniwan ‘di ba? So hindi na. Hindi naman sa ano… iba-iba naman ‘yan kapag andon kana, hindi mo talaga masasabi. Wala talagang makakapagsabi kung ano ang magiging desisyon mo kapag andon ka na,” she remarked, suggesting a reluctance to entertain thoughts of reconciliation without understanding the underlying reasons for the breakup.
The Kapamilya host also highlighted the unpredictable nature of emotions and decisions when navigating the complexities of love. “Today iba ang sagot mo, kahapon iba. Bukas baka iba ‘di ba? Depende sa araw — may Monday, Tuesday ganon,” she mused, illustrating the fluidity of feelings and perspectives over time.
In addition to discussing the possibility of reconciliation, Chiu expressed admiration for individuals who actively fight for their relationships. “Siyempre mas nakaka-babae kapag pinaglalaban ka,” she noted, acknowledging the significance of efforts made to salvage a relationship.
Chiu’s insights come amid speculation surrounding her own romantic life. Last December, the actress confirmed the end of her nearly 12-year relationship with longtime partner Xian Lim. In an emotional Instagram post, Chiu announced the breakup, referring to it as the “end of a love story.” The announcement followed months of speculation fueled by Lim’s actions, including the removal of videos featuring Chiu from his YouTube channel and the disabling of comments on his Instagram posts.
Chiu and Lim had been together since 2012, with their relationship becoming public knowledge in 2018 when the actress confirmed their romantic involvement.
