The media conference for ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ became a lively affair as Herlene Budol shared her unexpected inclusion in the second season of the show led by Sen. Bong Revilla Jr..
During the media event on January 26, Herlene narrated her initial shock upon discovering her participation in the program during Sen. Bong’s 57th birthday celebration on September 25, 2023. She amusingly admitted thinking that Sen. Bong might not even recognize her.
Recounting the birthday festivities held at a hotel, Herlene shared a comical moment where she was mistaken for a Grab driver due to the fancy cars around. Despite the initial confusion, she expressed her gratitude for being invited and attending an event that felt like a concert, surrounded by industry veterans, including Manny Pacquiao.
“Parang ako lang yung bagong mukha para sa kanila. Sila, parang matatagal na sa industriya. Nandoon sina Manny Pacquiao. Nagulat ako, talagang nagpa-picture ako sa lahat. Nag-attendance ako sa lahat ng tao na nandoon kaya nagpapasalamat ako,” Herlene explained.
During the celebration, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “Kasi sobrang, parang first time ko na nag-attend ng birthday na may ganoong eksena. Grabe, parang concert. Ganoon po yung pakiramdam.”
Herlene also shared a delightful encounter with Beauty Gonzalez, Sen. Bong’s leading lady in the show, during a GMA Gala event. Playfully, she recounted Beauty’s exuberant greeting, leaving her to think, “Ganoon din po kay Miss Beauty (Gonzalez) noong nagkita kami sa GMA Gala. Sobrang kalog niya ho. Akala ko mababahuan siya sa hininga ko kasi grabe siyang mag-beso.”
Despite the initial surprise, Herlene expressed her excitement to work with artists she used to watch and admired. She even made a lighthearted joke about the cast becoming close enough to smell each other’s breath.
“Alam mo yung beso niya? Parang nilanghap niya lahat ng hininga ko nang gabing yon. Siyempre, medyo nakainom na ho ako noon. Sabi ko, ‘Hala baka may masabi siya sa hininga ko!”
Although the media missed the opportunity for a one-on-one interview with Herlene, the actress left the event right after the Q&A session, preventing any questions about recent controversies, including the issue with her ‘Magandang Dilag’ leading man, Rob Gomez.
