Kapamilya programs currently dominate both the primetime and noontime slots. This was evident as the action-drama teleserye ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ and ‘It’s Showtime’ emerged as frontrunners in their respective time blocks.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings, FPJBQ and It’s Showtime secured the top positions in their time slots. On February 14, FPJBQ surpassed its competitor Black Rider with a rating of 12.5 percent, edging out the latter’s 12.4 percent and securing the primetime entertainment leaderboard.
Similarly, It’s Showtime maintained its dominance during noontime, outperforming its rival ‘EAT…Bulaga’ by a significant margin of 0.6 percent, with ratings of 4.5 percent and 3.9 percent, respectively.
This winning streak continued on February 15, with FPJBQ extending its lead over Black Rider by 1.3 percent, claiming the top spot in the primetime entertainment chart at 14.2 percent versus 12.9 percent.
It’s Showtime sustained its success by increasing its ratings to 4.5 percent, surpassing ‘EAT…Bulaga’s’ 4.1 percent, maintaining its position as the leading noontime show.
The question now is, will ‘It’s Showtime’ continue its winning streak against the iconic ‘EAT…Bulaga,’ or will the latter make a comeback and reclaim its throne? Similarly, FPJBQ faces challenges in primetime due to occasional absences on A2Z caused by PBA games. Will it maintain its supremacy despite these disruptions? Only time will tell.
