The current King of Philippine TV has reclaimed its throne.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ)’ has successfully regained its status as the top TV program in the country.
The ascent to the pinnacle began on Friday, February 16, when FPJBQ secured a rating of 14.6 percent. This marked a 0.2 percent edge over its predecessor and now second-ranked program, ’24 Oras,’ which scored 14.4 percent. Meanwhile, FPJBQ’s rival, Black Rider, remained in the third spot with a rating of 13.6 percent.
The following week, on Monday, February 19, FPJBQ maintained its supremacy with a rating of 15.9 percent, outshining ’24 Oras’ by 0.7 percent, while Black Rider’s ratings further dipped to 11.9 percent.
On Tuesday, February 20, FPJBQ continued to dominate, holding onto its top spot with a rating of 16.0 percent—0.9 percent higher than ’24 Oras’ and a substantial 3.3 percent lead over Black Rider.
Midweek, on Wednesday, February 21, FPJBQ sustained its momentum with a consistent 16.0 percent rating. It led ’24 Oras’ by 1.4 percent and remained 2.7 percent higher than Black Rider’s 13.3 percent.
The winning streak continued on Thursday, February 22, as FPJBQ recorded a rating of 15.0 percent, surpassing ’24 Oras’ at 13.9 percent and leaving Black Rider behind at 12.2 percent.
FPJBQ’s resurgence can be attributed to its renewed regular broadcast on A2Z after discontinuing PBA’s coverage. Currently, PBA games are being aired on RPTV Channel 9.
