As the release of Enrique Gil’s much-awaited film, ‘I Am Not Big Bird,’ coincides with Valentine’s Day, the actor shared his plans for a heartwarming celebration with two significant women in his life — his mother and his longtime girlfriend, Liza Soberano.
Despite Soberano being in the US for the premiere of her Hollywood debut, ‘Lisa Frankenstein,’ Gil remains optimistic about her potential return to join the celebration.
Addressing ongoing speculations, the actor clarified that they are still together and happy.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Gil shed light on their approach to personal growth and individual achievements.
“For Valentine’s, it’s gonna be my mom. Sadly, Liza is going to be in the US for ‘Lisa Frankenstein,’ but hopefully, if she gets back in time, she said she was gonna go and support me!” Gil shared.
He emphasized the importance of not exclusively centering their lives around each other, recognizing that pursuing individual paths allows for personal and collective growth.
The couple’s mutual support extends beyond their relationship, with Gil mentioning his contribution to a promotional video for Soberano’s film, reciprocated by her supportive video for his movie.
The synchronized release of ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ on February 7 and ‘I Am Not Big Bird’ on February 14 adds an extra layer of excitement for fans.
