During the premiere night of his latest film ‘I Am Not Big Bird,’ actor Enrique Gil gracefully addressed the absence of his longtime partner, Liza Soberano, attributing it to her prior commitments at an event occurring simultaneously.
Gil, alongside co-stars Nikko Natividad, Red Ollero, and Pepe Herrera, graced the premiere of their comedy flick at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, commencing around 6 p.m.
Concurrently, Soberano was engaged in a cosmetics event at the Blueleaf Pavilion in McKinley Hill, Taguig City, which also commenced at approximately 6:00 p.m., leading to a scheduling conflict with Gil’s film premiere.
Soberano’s involvement in the ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ star-studded affair prompted her immediate return to Los Angeles.

When queried about Soberano’s absence, Gil responded with understanding, assuring reporters that he harbored no negative sentiments towards her for missing the event.
“I know. It’s fine, it’s fine. I’m going to have another screening with her. I know she’s really busy,” Gil conveyed to reporters during the film’s screening.
Despite reporters probing for any feelings of disappointment, Gil affirmed, “No, no, no. Of course not! I totally understand, don’t worry. Thank you so much.”

Despite their busy schedules promoting their respective films ‘I Am Not Big Bird’ and ‘Lisa Frankenstein,’ both released in February, Gil clarified that he and Soberano remain a couple but are focused on their individual professional commitments.
