South Korean dancer and host Dasuri Choi recently became emotional in her latest YouTube vlog as she addressed hurtful comments from some netizens.
In the vlog, Dasuri confessed to feeling hurt by messages telling her to go back to Korea. She explained that such comments were painful for her, especially considering that when she was struggling, the Filipino community helped her grow and find happiness. She expressed her efforts to learn about Filipino culture and language and emphasized her gratitude towards the Filipino people.
“So, basically ang pinakaayoko na marinig or ayoko a makitang comment is, ‘Uwi ka sa Korea,’ because it’s really painful. Because when my life was really deep down, I went here and Filipinos you guys help me to grow and you guys really help me to be happy. I didn’t know Filipino culture or language, [but] I tried my best to learn,” she shared. “At the end of the day, you guys will say, ‘Balik ka na lang sa Korea,’ ‘Umuwi ka na lang,’ ‘Wala kang kuwenta,’ masakit talaga sa akin.”
However, Dasuri also jokingly remarked that ultimately, the decision to return to Korea or stay in the Philippines is hers alone, dismissing the negative comments.
Additionally, Dasuri refuted claims from some bashers calling her a “homewrecker.” She clarified her stance on being a third party in relationships, firmly stating that she would never engage in such behavior. She attributed her upbringing, guided by her kind-hearted parents, for instilling values that would prevent her from being involved in any romantic entanglements.
“I think they were talking about the issue late last year. So, I’m officially saying, I’m not the third party. I will never try to be a third party in my life. Because I didn’t grow up like that. I was raised by my parents na super super super bait. Wala talagang mangyayari sa akin na maging third party,” Dasuri said.
Addressing a viral photo of herself with Mavy Legaspi, which sparked rumors of their involvement, Dasuri explained the context behind the image. She revealed that they were at a restaurant for the soft opening of the ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ Executive Producer’s establishment, along with other co-hosts.
She expressed confusion as to why only that particular photo was circulated, clarifying that it was a group outing and not a romantic rendezvous as speculated by some.
“Why would I do that? Close kaming lahat e. Parang you will never think na, ‘Hala baka naman may chance na ganyan ganyan,’ it’s nothing. It’s nothing talaga kaya wala akong paki basta I’m doing right and I’m not…parang nahihiya sa parents ko sa family ko that’s it,” she explained. “Hindi naman maiiwasan ‘yung bashing as a public figure so pinapakita ko lang sa inyo na minsan nasasaktan din ako. We are also humans siyempre meron din akong family, kawawa naman ‘yung family ko ‘di ba.”
