Actor Daniel Padilla, fresh from renewing his contract with ABS-CBN, shared insights into his personal life during an interview following the signing event.
The 28-year-old heartthrob addressed questions about his romantic status, particularly in the wake of his breakup with long-time partner Kathryn Bernardo.
Padilla made it clear that he is not currently seeking a new romantic relationship. Despite Valentine’s Day approaching, he stated firmly that his focus remains on his career and personal development.
“Definitely not. Love for human nature, ‘yun ang hinahanap ko,” Padilla emphasized, adding, “Ayoko na munang isipin ‘yun. Trabaho muna ako. Wala muna akong love life.”
In light of the upcoming holiday, Padilla disclosed plans to spend the occasion at home, considering his siblings’ plans for dates of their own. He expressed a sense of contentment with reconnecting to his roots and cherishing moments with family, citing the valuable life lessons learned along the way.
Reflecting on past controversies, particularly allegations of infidelity, Padilla expressed discomfort with external scrutiny into his personal matters. He asserted that the events of his private life are deeply personal to him and underscored the intrusive nature of public commentary.
“Sa lahat ng nangyari ayoko nang makisabay, saka parang out ako sa ganiyan. Saka ‘yung nangyari, it’s very personal to me. And I don’t appreciate na ang daming nag-chi-chip in, but that’s how it goes, it’s show biz baby,” Padilla remarked, acknowledging the challenges of navigating public scrutiny in the entertainment industry.
Despite the difficulties, Padilla found solace in the support of genuine friends who stood by him during trying times. “Itong time na ‘to, ang dami ring nagpakilala. That’s beautiful at least, talagang eye-opening moment. Kaya ‘yung mga totoong nandiyan, ang sarap kasama,” he concluded, highlighting the importance of authentic connections amidst adversity.
