Veteran entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin has countered accusations from actor Dominic Roque, asserting that she never implicated any politicians in the separation of Roque and actress Bea Alonzo.
Roque’s legal representatives, Fernandez & Singson Law Offices, issued a statement on Tuesday accusing Fermin of making “malicious defamatory innuendos” linking the actor to former Congressman Bong Suntay and Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos.
In her program ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ Fermin addressed the matter, asserting that she did not mention any politicians in connection to Roque and Alonzo’s breakup.
Fermin also stressed that she never brought up Jalosjos’s name in relation to the breakup.
She further expressed bewilderment over Roque’s apology to Jalosjos, questioning why the mayor’s name was mentioned concerning their discussion about the breakup.
Fermin also denied any malicious intent and reiterated that she was merely defending Roque and Alonzo.
Additionally, Fermin addressed Roque’s denial of the reason for their breakup, emphasizing the importance of clarity to quell public speculation about their relationship.
