On January 25, new Viva artist Cariz Manzano revealed how her YouTube and TikTok followers urged her to join Vivamax.
At the media conference for Katas, which LionhearTV covered, Manzano recounted how she began as a social media influencer and later joined the streaming platform.
“Nag-start po ako sa YouTube po, nagvo-vlog po ako. And then also, nagti-Tiktok din po ako. And then, ‘yung mga followers ko demanding, gusto ako mag-Vivamax. Kaya ayun nag-join po ako, triny ko.”
It surprised her when she found out that she would immediately get an acting project right after joining Viva.
She then noted her preparations for her role, including acting workshops.
“And then, parang in-schedule po kami for acting workshops, preparation sa taping mismo. Pero ayun, I think I did naman my best po for this movie kahit first ko po.”
As for their film, Katas stars Yda Manzano, Sahara Bernales, Chester Grecia, Aria Bench, Ardy Raymundo, Cariz Manzano, and Mara Jalipa.
Under the direction of Rodante Pajemna Jr., Katas starts streaming on February 17 through the Vivamax app.
