Former Quezon City congressman Bong Suntay has announced his intention to take legal action against individuals who have implicated him in connections with actor Dominic Roque, following in the footsteps of Dapitan Mayor Bullet Jalosjos. Suntay vows to pursue the “strongest case” against those most responsible for spreading allegations linking him to Roque.
Although Suntay refrained from naming specific individuals he plans to sue, he emphasized his commitment to gathering evidence before initiating legal proceedings.
In an interview with GMA Network’s ‘Unang Balita’ on Thursday, February 22, Suntay stated, “Siyempre, we want to file the strongest case. Of course, when we file a case, we want to win. Of course, I’m a lawyer. Gusto ko kung sino ‘yung most guilty.”
Roque had previously announced his intentions to take legal action against showbiz columnist and talk show host Cristy Fermin, accusing her of making “malicious innuendos” about him.
Fermin had suggested that Roque had political backers who allegedly owned his condominium unit and gifted him a gas station. Following Roque’s statement, both Jalosjos and Suntay came forward to refute the allegations.
In response, Fermin maintained her position during her talk show ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ asserting that she never directly implicated the two politicians and criticizing Roque for his sensitivity as a public figure. She even suggested that Roque should express gratitude for her defense in her vlogs.
Prior to their public statements, Roque, Suntay, and Jalosjos were observed attending a birthday party earlier in the week, hosted by a mutual acquaintance.
