Barbie Forteza and David Licauco of the BarDa love team, kicked off Valentine’s week with an episode of ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ delighting viewers with their sweet interactions and updates on their upcoming teleserye, ‘Pulang Araw.’
During the interview, Forteza shared a surprising revelation about her past audition experiences. She disclosed that she had auditioned for three young Marian Rivera roles but failed to secure any of them.
Forteza recounted auditioning for the roles of young ‘Marimar,’ ‘Dyesebel,’ and ‘Darna,’ all iconic characters portrayed by Rivera. She humorously explained that she didn’t land the role of young Marimar because of her fear of dogs, a crucial aspect of Marimar’s character, who had a pet dog named Fulgoso.
Similarly, Forteza mentioned that her inability to swim and fear of heights contributed to her unsuccessful audition for the role of young Dyesebel and young Darna, respectively.
Despite these setbacks, Forteza expressed gratitude that her time eventually came, and she now holds the title role in ‘Pulang Araw,’ showcasing her growth and versatility as an actress.
Forteza’s revelation provided insight into the challenges faced by actors in the industry and highlighted the importance of perseverance and seizing opportunities when they arise. Despite past rejections, Forteza’s current success in consistently rating shows reflects her resilience and dedication to her craft.
