Kapamilya and Kapuso networks maintain their stronghold over separate programming blocks, with the former dominating primetime and the latter securing supremacy in the afternoon lineup.
The most recent Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings reveal that ABS-CBN’s primetime bida continues to command the evening block, while GMA’s prime tanghali reigns supreme in the post-noontime slot.
On the evening of February 12, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ)’ claimed the top spot in the primetime entertainment chart with a 13.7 percent rating, surpassing ‘Black Rider’s’ 13.1 percent.
Preceding program ‘Linlang’ also outperformed its competitor ‘Love.Die.Repeat.’ with a 9.9 percent rating, edging ahead by 0.7 percent from LDR’s 9.2 percent.
In the third slot, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ won the timeslot against ‘Amazing Earth’ with a 6.0 percent rating compared to 5.3 percent. The late-night fourth slot was also dominated by primetime bida, as ‘F4 Thailand’ outperformed ‘Jinxed at First,’ with ratings of 3.0 percent against 2.5 percent.
While Kapamilya shows continued to dominate the primetime block, GMA Network maintained its supremacy in afternoon programming.
Top-rated GMA Prime Tanghali dramas ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap’ and ‘Stolen Life’ led the afternoon ratings chart with a tied rating of 11.0 percent, comfortably surpassing competitors Dirty Linen and Darna re-runs, which unfortunately did not make it to the top 30 ratings board.
Additionally, ‘Makiling’ posted impressive ratings at 8.8 percent, securing the 8th position in the overall ratings chart. Similarly, ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ and ‘Family Feud’ registered favorable ratings at 5.9 percent and 8.3 percent, respectively.
