Another 82 entries will battle it out on the second day of the semi-finals of this year’s first edition of World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby after surviving the 2-cock elimination round on Tuesday night, 30 January, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Top fighters competing in the 3-cock semi-finals on Thursday, February 1, are Fiscal Villanueva, Atty. De Castro/Walter Ozaeta, Dadz Ge Mentiza/Dylan Castillo/Nad Mendoza, Engr. Emer Sumigad, Manny Jidaria/M. Pua, Mel Lim, Leo Nogoy, Marlon Viadd, Edwin Santiago/Randy Palmer/BDJ, Felix Gatchialian/Pat Gatchialian, Gaspar Legaspi Jr/Danilo Mandap, Joseph Panganiban, Albert Dichavez, Franny/Joy Brillantes/Jonel Dacquez from Abra, Engr. Pal Bolivar, Roel Facundo/Jojo Bacar/Beng Joson/Kap Lolong, Vernie/Vlad Legaspi/Danny Portillo/Donland Reyes/Ryan Mercado, Biboy Enriquez/Jorge Goitia aka Chuck Norris, Reymond Escarlan, Ernie Lagundi/Alex Lagundi, Jimmy Junsay/Dennies Reyes/Bobby Inigo, Nene Araneta, and Nestor Mercado/Lito Orillaza.
Also competing in the semi-finals are fighters who scored 1.5 points and 1 point in the elimination round.
Meanwhile, ninety-nine entries will be competing in tonight’s first round of semi-finals led by sabong idols Patrick Antonio, Rey Briones, and Claude Bautista.
The winners of the semi-finals will advance to the four-cock pre-finals on February 3 and grand finals on February 4 wherein a new World Slasher Cup champion will be crowned.
