Raymart Santiago’s legal team has issued a stern warning to Claudine Barretto, cautioning her against violating the court-issued gag order regarding public statements concerning their ongoing annulment proceedings.
This statement comes in response to Claudine’s recent revelations during an interview with Luis Manzano on his vlog, where she alleged that Raymart took millions from her.
In an official statement sent to ABS-CBN by Raymart’s legal representatives, they emphasized their commitment to adhere to the court’s directive, refraining from making any comments or statements about Claudine. The gag order, put in place on September 20, 2023, restricts both parties from making defamatory remarks or discussing each other publicly.
“The Gag Order dated 20 September 2023 of the Honorable Court directed that the parties refrain from expressing in any form, making any defamatory statement or comment, or answer questions pertaining to the other party, and from publicizing the same through print, broadcast media, or digital media. This Gag Order remains to be binding upon the parties,” the statement reads.
The legal team emphasized that any violation of the gag order would result in legal action. They underscored that making false, malicious, and defamatory statements about Raymart constitutes a clear violation of the court order.
The statement conveyed their readiness to take all necessary legal steps to protect their client’s rights.
The issued statement concluded with a strong reminder that nobody is above the law. The legal team expects compliance with the court’s directives from Claudine and all media outlets involved in covering the case.
