On January 8, the Concert Queen Pops Fernandez listed the personal milestones of her life.
On the media conference for Always Loved Concert, which LionhearTV covered, Fernandez cited having her children, her separation from her former husband Martin Nievera, and when her father got out of jail as her milestones.
“Siyempre noong nagka-baby ako. That meant so much. Yeah, ‘yung naghiwalay kami ni Martin, it was such a big deal, it was too much of a big deal. ‘Yung hindi namin na–parang everybody was so affected, na kami mismo hindi namin alam kung papaano namin, kung papaano namin, ano ba ‘yung situation nito, papaano ba ‘yun? Personally, siguro noong lumaya si Papa.”
She then jokingly added that her fourth personal milestone is having a boyfriend.
“Pagkanagka-boyfriend ako ‘yan na ‘yung pang-apat na. Yan na ‘yung pang-apat. Hindi naman goal, like I said, I’m not going to wait, I’m not going to expect, and I know it will just happen.”
As for her career milestones, Fernandez considered her live concert events, including Penthouse Live, Always Pops in Rizal Memorial Stadium, and her role in Linlang as some of the most memorable pitstops of her career.
She also noted that her stint in ASAP was one of her milestones as a performer.
“Of course, ASAP, isa rin ‘yan, bakit? Kasi parang wala na akong– may anak na kami, again pa-concert-concert na lang ako, hindi ko ine-expect na magkakaroon ako uli ng TV show. But when Direk Johnny Manahan approached me, Martin and I, actually wala pang masyadong concept, alam lang niya kung sino ‘yung pagsasamahin niya.”
As for her concert event, Concert Queen Pops Fernandez returns to the stage with her upcoming music event, Always Loved, at the Theater at Solaire on February 9 and 10.
