Philippines—Filipino actress-vlogger and NYMA talent Kristel Fulgar was recognized as the 2023 “Global Creator of the Year” at APAN Star Awards, which celebrates excellence in television and global contributions to the Hallyu wave.
With over 19.1 million combined social media followers, Fulgar was chosen as a global ambassador for the South Korean awards show alongside international influencers such as Karimova Elina, Kika Kim, Anushka Sen, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, and Cassandra Bankson. Fulgar took to Instagram to announce her achievement and show appreciation to the award-giving body for acknowledging her as a content creator.
“It is such an honor to be one of the awardees of this year’s APAN Star Awards Global Creator of the Year,” she said in her post. “Thank you to the committee for recognizing my content creator journey.”
“Thank you to my family and friends for always being there. But I would like to thank most especially our Almighty God for all these blessings, also my fans, followers, and supporters for always watching my videos and engaging with me on my platforms,” she wrote. “To all of you from the Philippines and all over the world, Mabuhay, and see you in my next vlog! 🤗”
Fulgar’s award came weeks after she received her first-ever Korean award, “Influencer of the Month,” at the 2023 Global Influencer Award held last December 6. This achievement was closely followed by her birthday celebration, marked by the release of her new single titled ‘Never Close Enough’ on December 29.
Fulgar’s journey continues to inspire her fans worldwide. As she looks forward to the future, she extends appreciation to her supporters, affirming her commitment to share more engaging content in her upcoming vlogs.
“Without the support of my followers, I wouldn’t have reached this point, so I deeply appreciate all of you for believing in me and rooting for me,” she said.
