The court’s decision, which recognized TVJ as the rightful owners of the show’s name, was officially announced by the trio during a Facebook Live session on the same day.
Vic Sotto, visibly moved by the court’s decision, shared their gratitude for the immense support and prayers from fans.
“In simple terms, we won,” he remarked, while Tito emphasized, “Tayo po ang may-ari ng ‘Eat Bulaga,'” acknowledging the audience’s unwavering support.
The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) had previously sided with TVJ in the trademark dispute, leading to the cancellation of TAPE Inc.’s trademark registration for the titles “Eat Bulaga” and “EB.”
