In a recent vlog on her YouTube channel, Heart Evangelista tearfully shared her experiences dealing with people who have labeled her as “toxic” to work and be around.
Although she did not mention any names, many speculate that the actress was referring to her former glam team, including Justin Louise Soriano and Jeck Aguilar.
The ongoing issue gained traction when Justin and Jeck were unable to fly to Dubai to accompany their new client, Pia Wurzbach, leading to suspicions and online speculation involving Heart. This speculation was fueled by an Instagram post by Heart on January 26, featuring a book titled ‘Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table’ by American pastor-writer Louie Giglio.
The caption read, “Not Today 🚫.”
The vlog, recorded in Singapore in November 2023 during various events attended by the fashion icon and actress, showcased Heart breaking down while discussing negativity from people she used to work with and being labeled as “toxic.”
Heart expressed her struggle to maintain a positive outlook amid personal challenges, emphasizing how these individuals made her feel toxic even when she tried to be happy and selfless. She shared her weariness from overthinking and the impact on her self-perception, feeling like a bad person deserving of the negativity.
“Whenever I get problems, like personal problems, I couldn’t even be in a bad mood because they would make me feel like I’m so (toxic). I mean, they would really make me feel like I’m so toxic. And so ngayon, kahit I try to be happy, I try…even if I have my own problems, I try to not be selfish. But I’m only human and I’m really tired. You know, I’m really tired of overthinking, I’m tired of thinking about what other people, you know? What other people…I hate it. And at the same time, you feel like you’re a bad person so you deserve it. Because you feel, like, because you’re problematic, you’re toxic to everybody, yung ganu’n,” she shared.
The actress acknowledged her efforts to entertain and compensate for her personal struggles, trying to be bubbly and carefree as she was before. Heart admitted that her former colleagues painted her as a bad person, making her feel the need to be extra perfect to those around her, ultimately affecting her inner joy.
Heart revealed that her personality and perspectives on life had to change due to these experiences. She highlighted the damage caused by her former colleagues, sharing instances where they removed collaborations from Instagram and questioning if she was a bad person.
Expressing her ongoing struggle, Heart mentioned the difficulty of seeing her former colleagues in the same work environment and the emotional toll of the damage they inflicted. She emphasized the need for forgiveness, acknowledging that it might not be for the benefit of those who wronged her but for her own peace of mind.
Heart’s vlog featured a conversation with someone who mentioned the power to choose who to keep in one’s life and the importance of forgiveness for personal freedom. Despite the advice, Heart admitted that she has not reached the point of forgiveness yet.
