TV5’s tabloid talk show, ‘Face 2 Face,’ has finally hit its stride in the ratings game, marked by its recent surge in rating numbers.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘Face 2 Face’ has experienced an upward rating trend, reaching its highest rating to date. On Friday, January 19, the Kapatid talk show achieved a remarkable rating of 2.6 percent, marking its peak since its premiere on May 1, 2023.
Earlier in the same week, the talk show hosted by Karla Estrada consistently demonstrated positive ratings compared to previous weeks. On Monday, January 15, ‘Face 2 Face’ garnered a rating of 1.8 percent, securing the 25th position in the overall ratings board. The following day, Tuesday, January 16, the show experienced a slight dip to 1.7 percent but still improved its ranking to the 24th spot.
Wednesday, January 17, witnessed a significant leap for ‘Face 2 Face,’ with a rating of 2.4 percent—an increase of 0.7 percent from the previous day—propelling it to the 19th position on the chart. However, on Thursday, January 18, the pre-noontime program experienced a slight decrease to 2.4 percent, placing 21st in the ratings board.
Historically, ‘Face 2 Face’ has maintained an average rating between 1.8 and 2.0 percent, rarely crossing the 2 percent mark.
The recent surge in ratings may have been influenced by the strong performance of ‘EAT…Bulaga.’ However, the primary factor behind this surge could be the dip in ratings for its rival, ‘Tiktoclock,’ following the underwhelming performance of ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’
Since ‘EAT…Bulaga’s’ move to TV5, it has consistently led the noontime race. Still, the recent decline in the ratings of the Kapuso noontime show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya,’ affecting ‘Tiktoclock,’ might have played a pivotal role in the success of ‘Face 2 Face.’
