On December 21, stars Empoy Marquez and Kim Molina reacted to ‘My Zombabe’ becoming the opening salvo of Viva Films for 2024.
At the media conference for ‘My Zombabe,’ which LionhearTV covered, Marquez admitted that he felt nervous with the trust given to them to be the first movie of Viva Films for 2024.
“Ah ‘yun, tulad ng sabi ni Direk, kinakabahan kasi sa amin pinagkatiwala nila Boss Vic at tsaka nila Boss na ‘yung opening–pagpasok ng 2024 kami ‘yung first movie ng Viva para magpasaya ng mga tao. At sana ayun tangkilikin ng mga tao at ipag-pray natin ‘yan.”
As for Molina, she noted her experience being part of Viva Film’s opening salvo for the incoming year with ‘Girlfriend na Pwede na.’
“Masaya po, kasi for this year 2023, na-experience ko rin po kasi na opening kami ni Je for Girlfriend na Pwede na, so parang in a way, parang masaya na may nilo-look forward ka na unang bungad pa lang ng taon. January pa lang, tapos magpre-premiere night ka na, tapos maganda ‘yung energy.
“So good vibes, naranasan ko po kasi siya this year and then for the next year po ulit, nagkausap ko kami ni Boss Vic na oy, mag-oopening ka na ulit, ganyan.”
She also expressed excitement for working with the cast and crew of ‘My Zombabe.’
“Excited po ako kasi kasama ko sila Direk, si Empoy, si Yanyan, so may bago akong ano na ang saya po ng feeling noon kasi bungad pa lang ng taon, ang saya na, goodvibes na, as an artist you’re doing something you love and you’re sharing it with people and then you’re giving goodvibes, first ano pa lang ng taon and you could give that energy who would also watch the film na goodvibes lang tayo buong taon.”
As for his upcoming movie, ‘My Zombabe’ is Viva Film’s opening salvo for 2024 stars Empoy Marquez and Kim Molina with Yanyan De Jesus, Anjo Yllana, Andrea del Rosario, Gary Lim, Andrew Muhlach, Billy Villeta, Liz Alindogan, Shirley Fuentes, Marnie Lapus, and Mark Grabador.
Under the direction of Bobby Bonifacio Jr, ‘My Zombabe’ opens in cinemas on January 8, 2024.
