On January 22, Star Magic artists Criza Taa and Harvey Bautista reacted to getting dubbed as the next big Kapamilya love team.
At the media conference for Zoomers, which LionhearTV covered, Taa appreciated the compliment on getting tagged as the next JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre) or KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.)
“Ang hirap kasi parang may na-set na na standard doon. So, parang kapag nakikita kami ng tao na parang the next JaDine or the next KathNiel, sobrang sarap lang po sa puso nun.”
She then remarked that she felt ready to explore having a love team.
“Well, sa akin naman po, five years na po ako since pumasok sa PBB, and parang ever since, I’ve been very independent when it comes to my career. And I feel like parang nakapag-explore na rin naman po ako when it comes to characters, like ‘yung solo characters na naganapan ko na po.Â
“And I think this time, parang ready naman na po ako to explore new things, to explore nga love teams or pair, partnership, ganyan. And I don’t mind doing it with Harvey kasi super galing niya po and very gentle man.”
As for Bautista, he echoed Taa’s statement, citing how he was ready to go with the flow if they became an exclusive on-screen pairing.
“Exactly, the same as Criza, ako I think, ako I’m down to do anything naman eh. ‘Yun nga parang this is new, parang for me this is new having a partner like this na parang after Zoomers we had deadlines to do.
“Exciting siya sa akin kasi like I said bago siya. So ako go with the flow lang naman ako whereever this pairing would go naman. I’m down, game ako.”
