Carmina Villarroel is choosing not to amplify the buzz surrounding her son Mavy Legaspi’s birthday greeting.
The actress, along with her son, became a subject of discussion on social media and entertainment platforms after Carmina emotionally addressed their family’s challenges on their show ‘Sarap Di Ba?’
During the birthday message for her twins, Mavy and Cassy, Carmina emphasized that she and Zoren Legaspi are not adversaries in their children’s lives but rather supportive figures. She stressed her desire for her twins to be regarded as respected individuals.
“Hindi ko alam bakit sinasabi nilang nakikialam ako, but I don’t care because I am your mother. Kung nakialam ako, hindi mangyayari ‘to. So it only means hindi ako nakialam,” the actress asserted.
Carmina avoided mentioning any names in her statements, but online users believe it might be connected to the separation of Mavy and Kyline Alcantara.
In an interview with ’24 Oras,’ Carmina expressed her reluctance to delve further into the issue. She stated, “Ang sa akin kasi, parang lahat na lang ng sasabihin ko or lahat na lang ng ipo-post ko, lagi na lang binibigyan ng ibig sabihin na ako naman eh, wala lang. So parang, huwag kayong masyadong mag-react, huwag natin masyadong gawing big deal, ‘di ba? Wala akong masamang ibig sabihin.”
Meanwhile, the four friends are inviting everyone to join them on a unique life adventure. Janice de Belen, Gelli de Belen, Carmina Villarroel, and Candy Pangilinan are set to embark on a ‘ROADTRIP.’
The beloved ’90s IT girls, now podcasting titas, have come together for a film with an intriguing story that will take audiences on a nostalgic journey with their dearest friends.
From Viva Films and directed by Andoy Ranay, ‘Roadtrip’ is a friendship dramedy movie about four friends reuniting for a journey to visit an old friend.
Janice plays Gigi, a naturally kind, people-pleaser, quiet, and helpful writer, but Gigi is tired of all her responsibilities and wants a break.
Gelli portrays Maricar, an events planner who always avoids many people’s questions. Carmina is Chiqui, an actress from a wealthy political family, married to a politician. Despite seeming capable of doing anything she wants, Chiqui’s parents still control her life decisions.
Candy, on the other hand, is Sophia, always busy and engaged in various activities – from being a businesswoman, vlogger, managing a construction firm to taking care of her family. She may appear bossy and arrogant, but she is always ready to help those in need. She also desires to take a break from everything.
The film also stars Christian Vasquez, JC Tiuseco, John Lapus, Ethan David, Abby Bautista, Ashtine Olviga, Yumi Garcia, Heart Ryan, and Jastine Lim.
How will these strong but tested women keep up with each other despite many changes in their lives? And how will these empowered yet challenged women face the pain of losing a friend?
‘Roadtrip’ will be showing in theaters starting January 17, so gather your friends and join them on this unique life adventure.
