Ahead of the highly anticipated finale of the primetime series ‘Senior High,’ Andrea Brillantes took on the role of Star Patroller on TV Patrol, engaging in a conversation with ABS-CBN News about the success and impact of the TV project.
Expressing gratitude for being entrusted with such a significant show, Andrea highlighted its exploration of sensitive topics like harassment, mental health, bullying, grooming, and peer pressure prevalent in today’s generation. She spoke passionately about the responsibility that came with leading the show, aiming to bring justice to those dealing with these challenges daily.
During the eight months of working on ‘Senior High,’ Andrea formed a close bond with her co-stars, including Angel Aquino and Kean Cipriano, who portrayed her on-screen mom and stepdad. Describing them as more than just co-workers, Andrea emphasized the familial atmosphere, allowing her to open up about personal problems.
Reflecting on her coping mechanisms during challenging times, Andrea shared, “To be honest po, talagang puro lang po ako nagchu-church. I was just strengthening my relationship with God and naniniwala lang po ako sa kanya and yun lang po. When you seek God, you find peace. I found naman, I wasn’t really at peace, I had peace through Him. And ‘yung family, solid naman po kami.” She also emphasized the solid foundation of her family.
Looking beyond the series, Andrea has plans to launch new products from her beauty line and is involved in various upcoming projects.
When asked about her goals for 2024, particularly in finding love, she stated, “Not really, hindi po siya yung focus ko pero never ko pong isasara yung heart ko and yung doors ko for love. Wala siya sa vision board ko!”
