On January 24, Viva artist Albie Casiño reacted to people declaring that it was his era as an actor after transferring to Viva.
At the media event for Salawahan, which LionhearTV covered, Casiño highlighted that he focuses on working as an actor rather than gaining popularity or attention.
“Pinost ko lang ‘yun kasi alam ko na lalabas na ‘to eh. So, di ba, sobrang sakto, promo siya eh.
“Ay hindi, paano ba sabihin ‘to, ang buhay parang bola lang ‘yan. Pabilog lang ‘yan, so, umiikot lang ‘yan. So, I’m really thankful now ‘yun nga marami tayong work. But ‘yun nga maybe six months from now, hindi niyo ako ulit makita, so di ba?
“I just try to–hindi ako nagba-bask sa ganon, na ‘Oh it’s my era.’ I still wake up every day thinking na –kasi sa industriya namin, nothing is guaranteed. So, I just wake up, I try my best every day and producers see di ba? They just keep getting you.”
He then noted how he does his best as an actor with all of the projects he works on.
“I mean with all projects naman na ginagawa ko, I always offer my best naman. Hindi na mawawala ‘yun. Kahit anong project po ‘yan, kahit indie, kahit mainstream TV. Parang it’s my way of showing thanks for giving me the project. Parang unfair naman ‘yun sa mga katrabaho mo if you don’t give your best.”
He also noted that showing off his skin for a Vivamax project wasn’t an issue since he works out daily.
As for their film, Salawahan stars Albie Casiño, Sheila Snow, Itan Rosales, Van Allen Ong, Angeli Khang, and Chloe Jenna.
Under the direction of Jeffrey Hidalgo, Salawahan streams on Vivamax on February 2.
