In response to the resurfacing of past issues and subsequent online attacks, young actor Seth Fedelin took a stand to defend his fellow young actress, Francine Diaz.
Recent controversies involving Seth, actress Andrea Brillantes, and a throwback picture led to the online bashing of Francine, including her family.
Using his X account (formerly Twitter), Seth appealed to netizens passing judgment and dragging his loveteam partner into the controversy.
Taking a protective stance, Seth added, “Ako nalang ‘wag si Chin at pamilya niya [folded hands emoji].”
Prior to Seth’s statement, Francine’s older sister, Chantal, also addressed the online attacks. “This issue is so 2021 pa. If defending my sister means being called squammy and whatever then so be it. Call me names, I don’t care. I’m no longer staying silent,” she expressed on X.
Chantal emphasized, “Walang inagaw at walang inahas ang kapatid ko. Yes, my sister is not perfect, she’s flawed but she’s not even half of the person you claimed her to be.”
Asserting their right to privacy and respect, Chantal stated, “You don’t have the rights to call us names, especially if you don’t know the whole truth.”
Towards the end of her statement, Chantal hinted at possessing information that could potentially put an end to the ongoing issue. “I’m speaking up, ‘cause you guys are being too much and the year is almost ending, just leave it here na. Be thankful na we are still considerate,” she remarked.
“I could end you with what I know, if I want to. But I’ll choose not to,” Chantal concluded.
The recent controversies stemmed from the public proposal made by basketball player and commercial model Ricci Rivero to Andrea Brillantes after their UAAP game in April 2022, which somehow led to the renewed attacks on Francine Diaz.
