The Kapamilya young-adult crime-thriller teleserye ‘Senior High’ continues to establish a formidable presence on television by sharing the spotlight with its Kapuso counterpart, ‘Lovers/Liars,’ for two consecutive days.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, both ‘Senior High’ and ‘Lovers/Liars’ secured identical rating numbers for two back-to-back episodes.
On Thursday, November 30, both series achieved a rating of 4.8 percent, placing them at the 11th spot in the overall rating chart.
Their subsequent clash on Monday, December 4, saw both late-night dramas again attain tied ratings at 4.7 percent, elevating them to the 10th position on the leaderboard. It’s worth noting that ‘Lovers/Liars’ doesn’t air on Fridays to accommodate ‘Amazing Earth’ in its timeslot.
Prior to these consecutive tied scores, ‘Senior High’ notched its first victory against ‘Lovers/Liars’ in the same week.
On Monday, November 27, the Kapamilya teleserye secured a 4.3 percent rating, surpassing its Kapuso counterpart’s 4.1 percent.
However, on Tuesday, November 28, ‘Lovers/Liars’ reclaimed a slight lead with a 4.2 percent rating against ‘Senior High’s’ 3.8 percent. The trend continued on Wednesday, November 29, where the Claudine Barretto-starrer maintained its lead with a 4.4 percent rating compared to ‘Senior High’s’ 3.8 percent.
Given ‘Lovers/Liars’ slim lead and ‘Senior High’s’ previous win, the question is: Can the Kapuso drama series hold its ground and maintain its timeslot leadership, or will ‘Senior High’ secure more victories and ties despite its limited TV presence due to A2Z’s coverage of the PBA games? We’ll see in the coming days.
