After a nationwide hunt for the next generation of tech trailblazers, Samsung has selected its first batch of top young tech innovators, content creators and sustainability advocates to be part of its first-ever Galaxy Campus program in the Philippines.
As one of the most innovative and dynamic tech brands in the world, Samsung’s Galaxy Campus offers aspiring student creators, tech innovators, and sustainability advocates an exciting and dynamic mentorship program.
Fifty college students from universities all over the country gathered together at the Galaxy Campus First Day High launch event held in Grand Hyatt Manila on December 16 and 17.
The two-day kick-off held a variety of exciting activities such as the #TeamGalaxy Content Creation workshop that included a fruitful panel discussion with lifestyle, fashion and creative content creator Jaz Reyes. They also enjoyed an exclusive workshop with TikTok Philippines where they got to showcase their talents in content creation with top Campers winning fantastic prizes.
Aside from mentorship activities, Galaxy Campers were also able to bond through fun getting-to-know-you games and also held discovery sessions in technology, where they learned more about the latest Samsung Galaxy mobile divide – the Galaxy S23 FE – and how to capture memories and milestones and do creative edits with the phone’s innovative camera features such as Nightography, which includes night selfie and night video functions for clearer photos in low-light settings, and Photo Remaster that helps improve old or blurry photos.
What’s in store for the Galaxy Campers
The Galaxy Campus student ambassadors will get the chance to hone their creative skills, network with fellow tech enthusiasts and top content creators and discover new ways to make a difference in the 6-month program. The program includes a robust line-up of learning sessions on Samsung technologies such as the newest Galaxy smartphones, motivational hangouts and marketing workshops.
In the coming months, they will have an exclusive sneak peek at Galaxy S products and Galaxy A products, get special access to Samsung events, such as product launches and activations, and take part in environmental initiatives.
Apart from testing their creativity and leadership abilities, solo and group missions also provide opportunities to win unique merchandise and other rewards from their Galaxy family.
During the kick-off event, Samsung Philippines Electronics Corporation (SEPCO) President Min Su Chu shared, “When we saw the kind of impact this program made in Samsung’s other markets, we knew right away we wanted to bring it here to the Philippines. It is our privilege to help kickstart the innovation journey of the Filipino youth, and we are looking forward to honing generations of local tech talent in the years to come.”
