On November 16, actor Ronnie Lazaro highlighted the difference between his generation and the new artists when doing sexy scenes.
At the media conference for their four-part series ‘Araro,’ which LionhearTV covered, Lazaro considered the younger generations braver in portraying sexy roles.
“It’s a different kind of generation, sometimes I question myself, is this more of art or labas. Kasi, expression ‘yan eh, so wala akong maanong–mas maano ang freedom nila ngayon, and mas matapang sila.
“Although matapang na din ‘yung ginawa ko, pero tingin ko mas relaxed ang director to squeeze them in performing these love scenes, mas madali sa director ngayon kaysa noon. I think ha.”
He also discussed Topel Lee’s filming style, comparing him to the filmmaker Lav Diaz and other esteemed directors.
“Very cool, almost like Lav Diaz na hindi siya, ‘yung direction is subtle, you’re not tensed, walang pressure. Pero, I haven’t seen any of his films, ang gusto kong makita is ‘yung visuals, kasi ang visual–of course, cinema is visual.
“So ‘yang si Topel, matagal na ‘yan na mga Topel, Raymond Red, na mga Samuel Frank.”
As for the four-part series, ‘Araro’ stars Vince Rillon, Micaella Raz, and Robb Guinto.
The cast also features Arah Alonzo, Dyessa Garcia, Cess Garcia, Jenn Rosa, Caira Lee, Vern Kaye, Ronnie Lazaro, Matthew Francisco, Raffy Tejada, Vino Gonzales, Horace Mendoza, Vino Gonzales, Upeng Galang Fernandez, and John Mark Pangilinan.
‘Araro,’ under the direction of Topel Lee, starts streaming on November 19 via Vivamax.
