Rochelle Pangilinan graced the stage of ‘Eat Bulaga’ last Saturday (December 2) in its revamped format, noticeably without the presence of the iconic trio—Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
Rochelle took on the role of a judge in one of the show’s segments, sharing with viewers that she took a hiatus of several months before agreeing to rejoin the popular noontime show.
“Bilang pagtanaw ng respeto sa Eat Bulaga, TVJ at original Dabarkads, pitong buwan ang pinalipas ko bago pa man ako nangahas makapasok man lang sa bagong Eat Bulaga,” Rochelle disclosed.
Acknowledging her initial apprehension, Rochelle admitted to feeling a sense of fear and hesitation about her return to ‘Eat Bulaga,’ given the past tumultuous issues involving the show’s producer, TAPE Inc., and former hosts, including the TVJ trio.
Rochelle emphasized that she sought permission from the original hosts and the management of the long-standing noontime show before agreeing to reprise her role on ‘EB.’
“Nagpasintabi po ako sa original Eat Bulaga hosts and management bago ako umabot sa puntong ito,” Rochelle clarified.
The ongoing legal dispute between TVJ and the producer of ‘Eat Bulaga,’ TAPE Inc., continues, with a court decision awaited to resolve the matter.
