On November 15, Kapamilya star Michelle Vito remarked that she was happy to see ABS-CBN artists working on GMA Network productions.
During an exclusive interview at the ‘Lovers/Liars’ media event at the Luxent Hotel, which LionhearTV covered, Vito said she felt thankful and happy that amid the number of Kapamilya stars, she got a chance to work in the Kapuso series.
“Tulad nga po ng nasabi ko kanina, sa dami po ng artista ng ABS-CBN, bakit ako ‘yung nilagay dito. Very, very thankful and happy and ‘yun ang magagawa ko na lang talaga is gawin ‘yung best ko. Ibalik sa kanila ‘yung opportunity na binigay nila sa akin.”
She then recounted how she started her showbiz career in GMA Network through various Kapuso series.
“Siyempre, unang-una talaga, kinabahan ako. ‘Yun muna ‘yung first ko na na-feel. Kasi, ‘yung kinuwento sa akin ni Miss Noreen ‘yung kwento, ‘yung plot, lumabas ako sa comfort zone ko eh. And hindi lang sa story and at the same time, ibang mga tao ang mga makakasama ko, and of course, from Regal na nakatrabaho ko na rin dati.Â
“But of course, I’m very, very thankful kasi, actually, hindi ko po alam if alam ninyo po na before nag-start ako with GMA Network. Nag mga–Tween Hearts ako nag-guest ako, Nita Negrita.”
She also considered herself blessed and grateful for her role in the series, noting the guidance she got from the creatives and their director.
“And very, very thankful, and blessed, and magagawa ko na lang po siguro as give back ko sa kanila is gawin ‘yung best ko kasi all through out mula umpisa, noong kinakausap pa lang ako tungkol sa plot, hanggang sa dulo.Â
“Nagte-taping kami hanggang ngayon, nandoon ‘yung guidance. Nandoon ‘yung kailangan ganito, kailangan ganyan, and hindi ko inano na hala bakit ako sinasabihan, but of course, kailangan na open ka sa sinasabi at tinuturo nila.”
As for their series, ‘Lovers/Liars’ stars Claudine Barretto, Shaira Diaz, Yasser Marta, Rob Gomez, Kimson Tan, Michelle Vito, Sarah Edwards, Polo Ravales, Christian Vasquez, and Lianne Valentin.
Under the direction of Crisanto Aquino, ‘Lovers/Liars’ airs on November 20 via GMA Telebabad.
