On December 14, artist Jay Gonzaga attested to how kind Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano (DonBelle) are as co-stars in their series ‘Can’t Buy Me Love.’
At the media conference for ‘Broken Hearts Trip,’ which LionhearTV covered, Gonzaga highlighted his experience working and bonding with DonBelle on the set of their Kapamilya series.
“Ano sila, sweet, totoo, off cam. Off cam mabait sila.”
He also commended how the Kapamilya stars listen to their director and connect to their co-stars in the teleserye.
“And gusto kong i-commend, ‘yung nakikinig sila sa director, Petersen Vargas and Direk Ian Lorenzo.
“Mabilis silang– nakikinig sila sa director. Sa co-actor, sobrang okay sila. Oo, especially si Donny, si Donny kasi lagi ang nakakasama ko. And ‘yung mga last shoot ko, okay sila, mabait sila.”
Aside from their camaraderie on set, he noted the Kapamilya Love Team’s consideration for everyone involved in ‘Can’t Buy Me Love.’
“May mga eksena na kapag silang dalawa ang magkasama, off cam, may mga eksena po na si Donny lang po ang kasama namin, si Belle sa kabilang set, so may isang part, may isang scene kami together na nandoon ‘yung DonBelle. inalalayan naman niya, tapos nag-uusap din sila, nagkakamustahan sila, the usual na ano.”
When asked whether he sees the two taking their on-screen pairing into real life, Gonzaga remarked, “Why not, single naman sila di ba? And mabuti naman, especially ‘yung character nilang dalawa, mababait ‘yung mga bata.”
As for his Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry, ‘Broken Hearts Trip’ stars Andoy Ranay, Christian Bables, Petite, Iyah Mina, Teejay Marquez, Marvin Yap, Tart Carlos, and Jaclyn Jose.
Under the direction of Lemuel Lorca, ‘The Broken Hearts Trip’ opens in cinemas on December 25.
