On December 14, actress Iza Calzado recounted feeling brokenhearted with her dad’s health condition when she first entered The Farm.
At a media event at The Farm in San Benito, which LionhearTV attended, Calzado narrated her ‘Mango Tree’ experience when she learned about the holistic medical wellness resort.
“Kasi, when I was in 2011, I met a lady who brought me to the Mango Tree, and she was like– I think– my friend can help you with your healing. Tapos, ako sino ‘yun. Tapos siya, this is my friend. Noong time na ‘yun very hindi pa ganon ‘yung ka–you know how we are now; we are more open minded about that. Pero, I was very open-minded already.”
She detailed how her time at The Farm helped her get through her heartbreaking experience.
“So, I started listening to her, and she said, this tree has [very] good energy. We have this as a healing tree, sabi niyang ganon. So, my dad was in hospital, and I was recently heartbroken. But my heart was also breaking because my father was already in the hospital, so I was praying for a lot when I got to the hospital.”
She even surmised how some of her wishes came true during her visit to The Farm.
“And then my dad passed, and soon after that, I met Ben, and then you know, it’s not like life after that is just like a bed of roses na, pero marami sa mga hiniling ko noon ang natupad, and then marami din hindi.
“Pero, [at] that specific time, I found comfort and healing during a [very] difficult time [in my life.]”
She then noted how she and her family made it their tradition to visit The Farm’s facilities after she got COVID.
“And after I had COVID, we go here often. There was one of the times that we were here. Apparently, Ben asked the Mango Tree for a baby. So, hindi ko alam. Pero obviously, it’s through God, but that is when he asked the tree for a baby. But there was one time pa na a mango fell and may time ‘yun, sabi ko, let’s eat this kasi parang binigyan tayo ng fruit.”
