On November 30, actress Heaven Peralejo discussed the possibility of working on more sexy projects after becoming Ginebra San Miguel’s 2024 Calendar Girl.
During the media event at the Westin in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, which LionhearTV covered, Peralejo clarified that becoming a Calendar Girl for Ginebra does not necessarily mean she would be taking more sexy genre projects.
“If kailangan, if it’s meant for the story to progress, why not? Pero it doesn’t necessarily mean na kapag nag-Calendar Girl ako kailangan ko na mag-hubad. Being a Calendar Girl is about representing the brand–not just about being sexy but also representing the Philippines, the Filipinos.”
She then revealed how she physically prepared for her endorsement for Ginebra San Miguel as their 2024 Calendar Girl.
“So I was given two months of preparation, which parang ako, sobrang thank you, I’ve been doing Muay Thai, I’ve been doing workouts, running, walking, every day. Basta iba-iba, tennis.
“Yes, actually, I did OMAD, which is one meal a day. Pero now, parang ako, my body wants to eat parang properly, parang di sa akin nag-wo-work ‘yung OMAD, so you know, doon ko rin nakita kung ano ‘yung tama para sa katawan ko. Hindi ko rin naman ginutom ang sarili ko, I am eating vegetables and everything like that.”
Peralejo then maintained that being sexy meant being confident while retaining a healthy lifestyle.
“Sa akin, it’s more about how you present yourself– how you feel about yourself, and if you are confident enough na hindi mo ginugutom ‘yung sarili mo, you’re putting the right food in your body, and that’s sexy. There are so many forms of being sexy pero hindi ko na ‘yun malilista.”
As for Peralejo, some of her prominent roles include ‘Nananahimik ang Gabi,’ which landed her the Philippines’ Best Actress award from the Asian Academy Creative Awards.
She considered her endorsement of Ginebra San Miguel as their 2024 Calendar Girl a dream come true for her career.
